C.W. Swift & Associates has been distributing high quality coaxial cable assemblies since 1958. We provide our clients with reliable solutions and secure connections for everything from aircraft to wireless infrastructure. Learn more about the cable and cable assembly types we supply, their many benefits, and common applications.
Cable and Cable Assembly Types
Some of our customers simply require cable to make their own assemblies, while others prefer the convenience of cable assemblies that are ready to go straight out of the box. These assemblies consist of pre-made cables with a connector on each end. Cables and cable assemblies are crucial for conducting RF signals, creating a secure connection and increasing its reach between transmitters and receivers.
To meet our clients’ varied needs and application requirements, we offer cables and assembles in various types and lengths that are capable of withstanding daily use and wear.
Cable Types
- Flexible. Ideal for applications requiring frequent movement or small bending radii, flexible cables lend their adaptability and durability to various configurations.
- Hand-formable. These cables have a tin-soaked braid for the outer conductor and match the size and performance of popular semi-rigid cables. They can be bent to shape without special tooling.
- Semi-rigid. Semi-rigid cables typically have a seamless tubular metal outer conductor and hold their shape once bent. They can be formed to predetermined shapes with close tolerance before installation. MIL-PRF-17 certified semi-rigid cable is also available.
- Phase stable over temperature. Phase stable cables deliver a consistent phase relationship regardless of temperature variations. Flexible, hand-formable, or semi-rigid cables with phase stability over temperature are available.
- Field mountable. Designed for onsite installation, field-mountable cables allow for quick, efficient setup and 18 GHz performance in diverse locations.
- Corrugated low loss. With an exterior corrugated conductor and optimal shielding, corrugated low-loss cables minimize signal loss over long distances.
Cable Assembly Types
In addition to those above, we offer the following cable assembly varieties:
- Test assemblies. Precision connectors, durable construction, and ruggedization options assure accurate and reliable results in various test environments.
- Multicoax, multiport. These assemblies support multiple connections in one or both connectors, streamlining complex setups and reducing clutter.
